We bought this Cafe fridge 7 months later we go out on vacation fridge is off everything is rotten more than 100 flies inside our brand new house leaving our home smelling like ROTT tech comes out says fridge is messed up. We request a new fridge due to horrible smell impregnated in plastics and are told no and are offered 200 dollars for our $5,000.00 purchase with CAFE. I do not recommend this company what so ever.

We bought our appliances from RC Willy, a month or two prior to installing them. I installed the oven first it seemed like it had been dropped. It teetered on the bottom, RC Willy would not accept responsivity. I installed it. I had to use shims and work with the trim, but got it in and it looks fine and works fine. The dishwasher went in easy looks great and works great. The gas range also went in easy. Looks good and works good. The refrigerator went in easy looks really good, but I cannot get the water to work.

Love this fridge - one drawback...

We love our new Cafe Refrigerator - Tons of space in the door bins which is so helpful...we use the middle drawer a lot and love how you can change the configuration with the glass dividers. Only drawback is when putting the water pitcher back, the fridge usually throws an error - we have to take the pitcher out and put it back in again and that seems to fix it.

Coming from a very old referigertor this is huge. Plenty of sotorage area in the doors for bottles of all sizes. The shelves are deep and can fit a full pizza box on the top with all other shelves still available. I'm in love with the pull out drawer in the middle. My husband has it loaded with all his soda with space for his misc food. Frezzeer is large enough that we were able to move some food from our basement freezer to this one. The only thing I don't like about the frezzer is the drawers inside are a little hard to pull about to get to each shelve. I did connect it to wifi and was very straightforward, it did have an update so I would recommend connecting to wifi. I was not planning on it but did when the stove arrived as it was recommended for that item. The black looks perfect in my space. I have not had it that long to review the filter but getting use the auto water dispenser. I don't use it alot as I have an RO system at the sink. This unit only have a one stage filter as my RO has three.

Not worth the price - issue with auto fill

Our fridge flooded out kitchen about 7 times before the correct fix was able to be implemented. It was incredibly frustrating to pay the amount we did for a fridge and have it do that. We had the repair guy out 3 different times before it was actually fixed. It is a lot to say we have to try to swap the pitcher first before the door mechanism. That is a huge burden as we could've prevented 4 of the 7 floods in our kitchen.

Started out looking for a different brand. To replace our current fridge. Stopped by Best Buy and talked to the sales rep. Couldn't find the brand and model I saw on the internet. My wife saw this Model Cafe CGE29DP3TD1 on display and fell in love with it, from the styling, capacity (LOTS OF ROOM) the way it was laid out, the shelving configuration. (the doors hold a lot of stuff) To the temperature controls. (easy to adjust) My kids can't get over how good the water taste, the filter is excellent, and the design on the water dispenser is awesome how it is located on the inside of the door in a picture you can dispense from or remove and pour water to add to your cooking, and last but not least it is so quiet at first I wasn't sure it was running. It's also saving on our energy bill compared to our previous one. My wife and I are so happy with this purchase. Hands down the best Fridge we've ever purchased in our 31 years of Marriage. And we've bought a few over the years. I give it 5 Stars

Overall Solid Refidgerator

Love the fridge's looks and functionality. The fridge section is very configurable and holds much more than it at first appears. Access and visibility are great. We are not water drinkers so the water carafe is a not a plus for us but we did turn off the refill function fill it with fruit juice and that works well, The middle drawer that can be a fridge/freezer with a configurable temp setting is great but shallow. The freezer section could use some work but that may be just us always having had side by side fridges. The three draws have limited viability and anything taller than a about 7 inches has to be laid on its side so not as flexible and the side by side arrangement. On the other hand, when the drawer is open, the cold air sinks, staying in the drawer and does not come spilling out across the room. We have had the fridge about 2 weeks and are seeing icicles forming inside the freezer at either side of the lower door. It appears that the seals are too stiff at the corners and are not fully sealing, allowing humidity to condense inside the freezer and form icicles that hang down and get snapped off when the freezer door is opened. Service was quick to respond to our concern and will be out in 2 days to address the issue. Looks like an easy fix. The fridge is amazingly quiet, no fan or compressor noise.

I bought Cafe a month ago, but it smelled like a toxic paint that made everybody in the house sick. I exchanged for a new one that was delivered a week ago. It smelled less, but the temperature did not go lower than 37F even if set it to 34F. Avoid. Don't buy.

What's not to like?

This is my wife and I's first new fridge. We've always bought used appliances and was able to save money in the short run. We're both retired and remodeling the kitchen and decided to get something nice and that we both wanted. I was looking at the GE Profile with the wall of light until I saw this fridge. The inside was nicer, had a nicer wall of light, and wasn't the normal white colored interior. The exterior is also a color other than stainless steel. More expensive? Yes, but it was what I wanted and I'm so glad we went this route. It matches our black/copper theme nicely. Coming from a side by side, we are very happy with the french door variety. The size is very nice as we don't have to struggle to find room for leftovers after a large family get together. The adjustable shelf for taller items has already been utilized for wine bottles that won't fit standing up otherwise. This is also our first water/ice built-in fridge so that's also a nice addition. Our last fridge ran almost constantly, it seemed, even though the seals were good. I feel we're already saving electricity with our upgrade. This fridge seems to keep a good constant temperature for everything and veggies seem to stay fresher longer. We've gotten ooohs and aaahs from everyone who sees it. I'm finally feeling like I'm giving my wife what's she's deserved all along and it's past due. She's tickled with the new fridge and proud to show it off to everyone. The fridge has been nothing but rock solid so far and I believe it will stay that way, but I bought the extended warranty for piece of mind. If I had to buy it again, I would without hesitation. We love it.

[Employee of cafe_appliances] Wow! This fridge is so impressive. So much space, so many options for storage and it's just beautiful to boot. The self-filling water dispenser is just the right capacity to fill my coffee maker and since we have bad water pressure where I live, having it always ready and easily dispensed, either by pouring directly from the spigot or removing and pouring, it makes is so convenient and fast. The use of the app to set temps in the various areas is amazing. The fridge will also chime if a door isn't completely closed...amazing bonus. I am so glad that I chose the Cafe. It's so impressive. I'm still trying to get used to the changes in storage capacity of the freezer vs the side by side but overall, I'm extremely happy with my purchase.

We have had this fridge for a month and so far loving everything about it!! I wasn™€™t sure I would like the water pitcher but it is definite game changer! Makes filling up water bottles so much easier! Plus i love how good it looks in my kitchen! Also I feel there is a lot of room in the fridge and freezer! Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a new appliance!

I love this fridge however I am not a fan of the water pitcher. I wish there was an option to remove it. It makes the door super heavy and I™€™m sure the spout will leak eventually. It was the one factor I was on the fence about buying this fridge.

This fridge is so beautiful and has SO much space inside. I like the auto fill water pitcher, the fact that it's on the inside so little hands can't push buttons. We also love how the back wall of the fridge lights up.

So crazy story, my cat flooded my house. He turned the water on while I was on vacation and it ran for four days. Needless to say, I needed to get my entire first floor and rip out my entire kitchen. I had picked out a pretty standard stainless steel front door fridge And was ready to buy it and my best friend showed me this one knowing that I have a copper problem. I™€™d love black and I love copper. I saw this fridge and immediately fell in love and had to have it. So far this fridge is absolutely amazing and I love it. It is humongous and beautiful, and the back light is amazing and the copper accents are beautiful. I think if I sell this house, I may have to take it with me and buy a normal fridge to put in it™€™s place.

So far I am in love with this fridge. The space for items in the doors is great, I love the pitcher for water. It fills glasses so much faster than the in-door dispensers. There is tons of space in the freezer even with the ice maker. We have decided to change our whole kitchen to Cafe (over time of course).

We are on our 3rd one in 9-10 months. And this one has doors that don't shut automatically anywhere are well as the other two did. But at least the ice maker works and it is not leaking on the floor. We love the style and features of the cafe but these little problems are getting old. Each time we have to get a totally new refrigerator.

The refrigerator I purchased is absolutely amazing!!! The shelves in the door are wide enough to accommodate gallon jugs. It is very spacious overall. I love the drawer in the middle that can be used as extra freezer space or for refrigeration. The auto refill on the water pitcher/dispenser is wonderful! We use it so much! The lighting inside is pretty cool too!
